Meet Nabilah

A curative practitioner for your cellar.
A knowledgeable guide to diverse terroirs.

Nabilah Rawji is a founder and sommelier based in the Greater Toronto Area. Her previous work in biology gave her an excuse to travel the world. Somewhere along the way, her passion for wine solidified, and she set out on a serious path to understand the world of wine.

Since 2015 Nabilah has worked with and led the wine programs at some of the city’s best-regarded hospitality outposts, including Terroni, Oliver & Bonacini and most recently, the Shangri-La Hotel. In 2019, she achieved the prestigious Advanced Sommelier designation through the Court of Master Sommeliers.

She brings a sense of nuance and approachability to her current focus on wine education and private cellar management.

Mentorship and community have been central to Nabilah’s success in the wine industry. As a Co-founder of Vinequity, a nonprofit committed to creating equitable opportunities for Canadian BIPOC wine professionals, Nabilah is committed to extending mentorship and building community with other diverse individuals starting their careers in wine.
